| | |
| Great Engeham Farm is
located close to the village of Woodchurch in the Weald of Kent. Situated between
the historic towns of Ashford and Tenterden it is an ideal location to explore
the many picturesque and interesting villages in the area. The
South East of England is famous for its Castles, Country Houses, golf courses
and many tourist attractions all set in beautiful rolling countyside. |
| |
| Although in
an idyllic location, Great Engeham Farm is only a few miles from the Ashford International
Station, the channel tunnel and the motorway network. Woodchurch
is one of the many medieval villages in the Weald of Kent which offer a range
of country pubs, restaurants and other places of interest to make your visit a
memorable occasion. | |
|
| |
 |
Kent is known as the Garden of England
and is famous for growing hops, fruit and corn which has left a legacy of windmills
and oast houses, of which Great Engeham Farm is a fine example. Woodchurch
was once very close to the sea and inevitably involved in the trade of smuggling
wine and brandy from France. Secret
passages and places for smugglers to hide can still be seen in many of the buildings
around Woodchurch today. | |
